THE CORONA WALL STUDIO
The Corona Wall it’s a thought-provoking and interactive art installation that explores the profound impact of the pandemic on our society.
Utilising recycled abandoned blue wood panels, founded in the premises of Monopol, the artist has crafted a suspended wall that can be touched and played with. The original paintings/carvings are presented on both front and back, accentuating the social separations brought about by the pandemic and reflecting on the constantly changing rules and contradictions of the corona times. Complementing the art installation a group of burning candles are placed in the space, in honour of the corona virus deceased people.
In line with the principles of sustainability, the use of recycled materials in the creation of this artwork aligns with Atom strong ethical values to care for the planet. The interactive nature of the piece invites audiences to engage with the work fearlessly, touching the carved paintings and reflecting on their own personal experiences of the pandemic.
The reminder of our body’s fragility and connection to an immortal spirit is a thought provoking aspect that adds depth and meaning to the work.
In conclusion, the Corona Wall is a powerful and poignant installation that effectively captured the complexities of the pandemic and encourages us to trust the universe, just like children playing in the Garden of Eden.
